Traverse Group pride ourselves on providing quality living environments. We are committed to the protection and conservation of Aotearoa, and are dedicated to the constant improvement of sustainable practise in property development.

To date as part of our subdivisions we have covenanted over 290Ha of bush and forest, wetlands and revegetated native bush. These forest and bush patches are vital to the survival of native plants and animals. We protect and plant waterways, streams and overland flow paths across our developments, using locally sourced native plants where possible.

We strive to build biodiverse ecosystems from our planting – whether this be stream, forest, wetland or coastal. Earthworks can look like a messy business, we value the protection of waterways, wetlands and local wildlife and we aim to minimise disruption and create and support thriving ecosystems in and around our subdivisions.

To reduce our carbon footprint we use local contractors and suppliers where we can, minimising our transport emissions. We are in discussions with our contractors regarding hybrid and electric powered machinery and alternative fuels.

In our local offices we work towards being paper-free and reducing our waste.

Developing sustainable strategies and reducing our footprint is a continuous journey we are committed to, we are proud to deliver quality living environments for our homeowners while working to preserve and develop the many ecosystems crucial to Aotearoa’s health.
